Firstly, I would like to thank you for your efforts using our home learning app ‘Seesaw’ over the lockdown period last academic year. I hope you have all been able to enjoy a rest from home schooling now.
As you are aware, we all face new rules and guidelines since starting school in September. We all know that if a child from a class bubble tests positive, that class will need to isolate for 14 days. Although we hope this doesn’t happen, we need to be prepared. We have decided to replace Seesaw with a programme called Google Classroom as we hope it will be a more effective way of supporting our children.
The children in Year 2 – 6 have been practising with this in school and Year 1 will be following soon. To ensure the children get used to using Google Classroom at home, your child’s teacher may be setting them some homework over the next few weeks. I have put together some step by step guides and video tutorials to help you get set up.
Before doing anything else, you should read those getting started guides that have been attached to this email. I have also created some videos to go along with this to help you get up and running. Click the following link to see the tutorials.
